Specialized cosmetic care is an important step in treating patients with acne vulgaris. Cosmetic creams with sebum-regulatory, exfoliating, and antibacterial effects are recommended as maintenance therapy for acne. Soothing, anti-inflammatory, and sun protection creams help completely level off the adverse reactions resulting from the use of retinoids and systemic antibiotics.
