The paper analyzes the results of skin rejuvenation with a fractional CO2 laser, by employing different irradiation doses (2.07, 2.77, and 4.15 J/cm2). There were notable improvements in facial wrinkles and skin texture and a reduction in hyperpigmentation, suggesting the high efficiency of using the fractional CO2 laser for photo skin rejuvenation. The method can yield good clinical results and shows a short rehabilitation period and an excellent safety profile. Immunohistochemical studies have revealed that there is an association of skin cytokine production with the repithelization phase and laser irradiation dose.
