The paper considers the secondary and primary immunoresistance to botulinum toxin preparations. It identifies the patient selection criteria that reduce the risk of immunoresistance when botulinum toxin preparations are regularly used in aesthetic practice. The approach to correcting mimic wrinkles is proposed to be changed in some patient groups in order to reduce the number of negative and relatively negative results.

Key words: mimic wrinkles; botulinum toxin; primary immunoresistance; secondary immunoresistance; neutralizing antibodies against botulinum toxin; CSTF; booster injections; alternative methods of noninvasive correction
