The paper considers the general principles of botulinum toxin therapy for the musculus orbicularis oculi in relation to its structure and hypertone. It describes its structure and possible hypertone. Based on the analysis of the data available in the literature and their experience, the authors discuss the use of Dysport® to correct different types of musculus orbicularis oculi hypertone.
